For many years I have worked to improve my circumstances in life – with personal growth being my closet friend during the journey.
I started my self-improvement journey with setting goals which tremendously improved my life circumstances mentally and physically. However, I quickly found that as I improved my circumstances more demanding opportunities came my way.
It also became clear in High School that goal setting without personal growth was a formula for a life of frustration.
I don’t know why but all my life no matter the situation I have felt that I have been swimming upstream against the current. Now that I am older and wiser I know this was a great place to spend my quality time. Why, because it put me in a position of growing and striving to get better no matter the circumstance. Learning to live in a place that you are not comfortable will do wonders for your personal growth.
I once read “People are anxious to improve their circumstances but unwilling to improve themselves; they therefore remain bound.”
Circumstance improvement plus personal growth equals movement from where you are to where you want to be.
Quote of the week: “The American Dream is a term that is often used but also often misunderstood. It isn’t about becoming rich or famous. It is about things much simpler and more fundamental than that.” – The seeker
Word of the week: Circumstance – An event or condition connected with what is happening or has happen.
Ask yourself: Have you let the desire to move from an undesirable condition hinder your true personal growth; therefore, life happiness?
Speaking With a Purpose: “We help you bridge the gap between … Where you are verses where you want to be.” Our ultimate goal – helping you become a better you!
Until next time,
Houston out!
