This time of the year (Christmas) has been so commercialized until many have forgotten the reason for this season.
From the mouths of babes, the truth flows, what happens to us as we grow up? Have we become too sophisticated and politically correct for our own good? Have we lost the true meaning of life somewhere along the way?
I am reflecting more on my own childhood as I write this post. It was a much simpler time, driven by a strong sense of family, love, respect, worship, education, empathy, friendship, honor, and humbleness. The good old days, oh, how sweet you were.
Four years ago on the way to taekwondo practices, I asked my then 8-year-old grandson; did he know why we celebrated Christmas. He said, yes sir. I said well tell me why we celebrate Christmas? With the biggest smile on his face, he said, it is the day Jesus Christ was born. With a huge smile, I said, you are right. Then as always, I gave him one of the biggest hugs.
Listen, Think and then Act.
Until next – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
